I set up my Booth for the 2011 One of a Kind Show & Sale Chicago yesterday...it starts at Noon on Thursday, December 1st! I've had a 2 year hiatus and am excited to be showing again, I'll be offering Incentives on Pet Portrait orders received at the show and I have lots of great Gifts at a variety of price points, even small $32 original ART BLOCK PAINTINGS...perfect for Gift Giving!
...well I did have to ship a few ; ) The Studio Moving Sale was a great success! Are you on Facebook? I just surpassed the 1000 "Like" landmark for my Anne Leuck Feldhaus Studio Business page - I do realize this fluctuates daily so you might visit and find it back at 995 again! In any case, I am so grateful for all the 'likes' and comments and interactions and feedback about my work. I'm much better about updating there than on my website or here on the blog - just due to the ease of it. I'm sure I will be posting more specials once I get settled in my new more private work studio so if you would like to "LIKE" me...well, I'd like that! ; )
The Western Springs / Sun Times blog featured my "Canines N'Blooms" hand painted bird bath in their publicity for the final Charity Auction Event for HCS Family Services, held last weekend. I hope mine found a good home and brought in some good money for this wonderful organization. Follow this link to see all the other artists' creations.
Wanted to share a recent Pet Portrait Print featuring Jake. a lab mix, and Mike, a Chesapeake Bay Retreiver - this one is now hanging in a nursery in Georgia!
I'm very grateful to share that we sold our house in this impossible market...and I'm downsizing my life in a big way, so that means I'm ready to part with some vintage art works that I've made over the last 15 years. I'll have many at this weekend's Bucktown Arts Fest. This little show is still going strong and now, bigger than ever. I'll be selling lots of new works from the summer as well as vintage pieces from the late 90's...pieces I painted when I lived in the neighborhood. C'mon by...let's liven up your walls!

This is the only large piece I have left from my "flying people" series...I did many of these before Izzy and other dogs came into my life...they were inspired by dreams of flying!

This piece chronicles the traumatic gang problems we lived through in Bucktown back in the 90's. I still have the quarter brick that came through our window at 3am...our sweet salvation: we had just put in an order for new windows the week before!
Time is flying and I'm exhausted after a week of moving...But I will update you on that another time...business first! Tonight is the Kick-off Party for the Bucktown Arts Fest at the Jackson Junge Gallery in Wicker Park. I donated "Three Birds Flying" which I painted in my Bucktown studio several years ago...hope it finds a new home tonight and helps raise some funds for the Fest & neighborhood art programs!
It was great to visit Madison last weekend for Art Fair on the Square....reconnected with so many old friends and even got to see my Mom, lots of hugs!
I don't think she planned her outfit...but my Mother sure complements my artwork!
